Primitivo is a dark-skinned grape known for producing rich, inky, full bodied wines. This classic Primitivo from the South of Italy is intensely flavoured and deeply coloured. It caused significant consternation on both sides of the Atlantic when DNA analysis proved that Zinfandel and Primitivo are the same variety.
