Davenport Vineyards Horsmonden Pinot Noir 75cl

Description

A light, fragrant English Pinot Noir from Davenport’s organically farmed Redmoors vineyard in Horsmonden, Kent. The 2023 vintage shows a more delicate, aromatic side of the site, with Pinot Noir grown on sandy silt loam soils and naturally fermented using a mix of whole bunches and destemmed grapes. Aged for seven months in large oak foudres, then rested in bottle before release, it opens with lifted notes of wild strawberry, rosehip and cranberry. The palate is pale, silky and finely balanced, with gentle tannins, fresh acidity and a graceful, aromatic finish. Serve lightly chilled with mushroom dishes, roast beetroot, charcuterie, poultry or soft cheeses.
