Albariño is one of those ‘on trend’ grapes and its popularity is well deserved. Called Contra Viento Albariño, meaning “Against the Wind” or “against all odds”, it is a nod to planting a coastal native grape in sun-drenched La Mancha, where “the sun reigns and the wind never stops”. Despite the sunny, warm climate, vineyard altitude and cool night temperatures preserve freshness and lift, giving classic Albariño character with bright lemon meringue notes and clean acidity. Still superb value, this vibrant white is a brilliant partner for seafood, grilled prawns or light summer salads.
