Albury’s Silent Pool Rosé has become one of England’s most distinctive and highly praised rosés – a delicate, dry blend of Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier from the Surrey Hills. Founded by Nick Wenman, the vineyard sits on the southern slopes of the North Downs near Guildford, within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, where organic and biodynamic techniques are used to enhance fruit quality. Produced in tiny quantities, Silent Pool Rosé is known for its pale colour, fine red fruit notes and elegant style. Taking its name from the crystal clear lake beside the vineyard that’s steeped in local legend, the first vintage was famously snapped up by the Queen to serve on the Royal Barge for the Jubilee Celebrations.
