Made from the first documented grape in Rioja, Maturana Blanca, Viña Ijalba have pioneered a project to resurrect this variety and return it to its former glory. Low yielding in comparison to the widely planted Viura, Maturana Blanca has a more aromatic style and picks up the minerality inherent to the area beautifully.  A white Rioja that always ‘wows’ at tastings, 10% of this wine is oaked, giving complex creamy, nutty nuances to the fresh citrus and stone fruit character and long, round finish.
